"We tucked [the trap for mom] into the hay bails in the barn, covered with towels, put a kitten towel inside with a can of wet food, with my ipad playing sounds of her own kittens. She enters, but she never enters enough to stand on the plate trigger. We've also changed up the location and changed its appearance to try to trick her, but at this point, the goal is to trap her to take her to get her spayed. It's been ten days now.

"This is the best we can try to do. We were at a point where we had to really think about how this would go down. Do we bottle feed? Or do we risk five more feral cats growing up to mating age before we can catch them again? What if she doesn't come back soon enough and they die? So here we are."
